atmosfair

Once again this year, we would like to draw your attention to a project from atmosfair that is worth supporting! The organization implements a wide variety of projects in countries of the Global South that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and sustainable development. These include projects in the field of biomass and solar energy.

When you book your Pinot and Rock ticket, you have the opportunity to make a financial contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. This year, all contributions will go towards a drinking water project in Togo, the aim of which is to create universal access to safe and affordable drinking water for the population. With the help of solar water treatment technology and so-called water kiosks, access to clean and nearby drinking water is guaranteed and CO2 emissions from water treatment are reduced. We look forward to any support and to a great festival where we can keep an eye on our environment together.

Betty BBQ

Freiburg's most famous drag queen and figurehead of Freiburg's LGBTQIA+ scene will be coming back to Pinot and Rock in 2025. Betty BBQ will once again represent us as an ambassador for diversity on all five days. As Freiburg's mother and unofficial spritzer queen, she belongs to the Kaiserstuhl region like Pinot belongs to rock.

FLUSS

We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome here at Pinot and Rock. To support this mission, we have brought FLUSS e. V. to the Kaiserstuhl. The association for education and counseling on gender and sexual/romantic orientation will have a stand where you can take part in various interactive activities (such as DIY buttons). The association has been a contact point for the LGBTIAQ* community in and around Freiburg since 1996. They offer workshops and counseling sessions on the topics of queerness, gender roles and coming out. So we couldn't have wished for a better partner for queer visibility at our festival.

The Corkampaign

At Pinot and Rock, we celebrate not only good music and excellent wines, but also the little helper in the bottle neck of the wines. On site, we will support the KORKampagne, an initiative of NABU, and collect the bottle corks from our winemakers and restaurateurs. Afterwards, the KORKampagne recycles them to produce not only ecological insulation material for house construction, but also to protect the overwintering sites of cranes in cork oak forests. That's right: The cork granulate obtained is sold as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic fibers. The proceeds in turn go to crane protection projects in Spain and Germany. You can also do this privately. Check out the KORKampagne website to find out where the nearest collection point is and drop off your corks there.

Lebenshilfe

Together with our inclusion partner Lebenshilfe Breisgau, we will be rocking out at our festival. Lebenshilfe stands up for the rights and well-being of all people with disabilities and their relatives throughout Germany. At our festival site, Lebenshilfe will be looking after the handicap platform and supporting people with disabilities on site with personal assistance for their visit to the festival. Please get in touch directly with the contact persons of the non-profit association at freizeitundbildung(at)lebenshilfe-breisgau.de.
Lebenshilfe will be at our side as a contact partner in the run-up to and during the festival to ensure the well-being of all visitors. If you would like to find out more about Lebenshilfe, you can also stop by their interactive stand at our festival. Not only information awaits you here, but also lots of fun and games - it's worth stopping by!

Stefan-Morsch-Stiftung

Stefan Morsch was the first European to be cured of leukemia through the transfer of foreign bone marrow. Unfortunately, the 17-year-old died six months later from pneumonia. His parents made his idea of setting up a database for stem cell donors in Germany to give other leukemia patients a chance of a cure a reality in 1986 by establishing the Stefan Morsch Foundation.

Today, the foundation searches for and finds stem cell donors for transplant centers in Germany and abroad. Germany's first stem cell donor center celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026.
